Living the Life in Spain
SPAIN is still an awesome country even as winter is approaching. Hit the Alps Spanish portion and you can see why. During this time of year, many tourists particularly from the Island of Britain troop here to have some skiing and other wintry activities. Of course, they have been to the Alps portion of Switzerland and France but they want to take a look at it at the Spanish portion of it.
High in the mountains of Spain where there will surely be spectacular views of snow falling are embedded mountain cabins. These cabins are intentionally erected for the purpose of being leased out to tourists here during the winter. These cabins are equipped with all the amenities of a luxury motel such as heater, satellite television and satellite wireless and wired Internet connection. Also included in the amenities is your own subwoofer system where you can hit the volume and party with your honeymooning girlfriend all night long. The cabin will definitely be suited for you alone during this time of the season. You can hit the road with layers and layers of clothing because winter in Spain tends to be cold at -3 degrees Celsius. But don’t bring cottony clothes with you because cotton tends to absorb moisture.
Elsewhere in the country, drive around the suburban places and whether you’re Catholic or not, you can hit the church at 4 in the morning every day for nine days preceding Christmas Eve for the Advent masses. Then head off to the nearest cafeteria for a very sumptuous Spanish breakfast of a cup of cocoa, a slice of toast dipped in jam and a pastry. This breakfast is rich in calories so you may want to work out jogging back to your Spanish vacation retreat for the rest of the morning.
Most of the tourists here during winter time are British. Some are out on a honeymoon while others simply like going to mainland Europe and escape the familiar English scenes back home. After all, Christianity is in full swing here and folks are really very devout. The essence of Christmastime is really felt here.
Some of the tourists even extend their vacation and buy properties here. That’s especially true for people who are about to retire already. They have already graduated their sons and daughters to college; have sent them off to marriages, leaving the couple to bask in solitude for the rest of their lives. Spain is instant choices no wonder because it is one of the serene places in Europe. From Barcelona to Madrid, from Ibiza to Valencia, Spain is the place to be whether one is hip or old.
In fact, preparations are now underway for major Spanish events in Valencia next summer. There are two Spanish events there – the America’s Cup (the premier sailing race in the world) and the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix. It will surely be a boost to all real properties in the area near the port of Valencia and near the racetrack which is actually the major thoroughfares being converted to chicanes. As the United States housing industry is just rebounding, Spain’s has continued to its right track.
